Akii is a design unit by Tokyo-based Naoaki Iwamatsu and Takaaki Maeda. Started activities in 2014. From impressive concept making to product design of mass-produced products, Akii's unique perspectives and ideas create unprecedented value.
Designed to blend into the bookshelf as an elegant leather-spined volume in a matte steel case, Nightbook works by illuminating when you pull it out partially. No more squinting to find faded book titles in the dark, rather fill the space with a warm glow.
Naoaki Iwamatsu and Takaaki Maeda are designers based in Tokyo with impressive concept-making mass production. Both create values with their own perspective and ideas combined with VISION construction, and business design centered on creativity while working on product design for commercial equipment, such as multifunction devices like headphones and car audio at an audio equipment manufacture product design, & trend research.
